Although the CIE had to cancel the 2020 HSK/YCT scholarship award ceremony due to COVID-19, the scholarships will still be awarded to the high achieving students who took the 2019 HSK/YCT exams. Awards and prizes will be presented to the students in their schools.
Over the past several years, the CIE has witnessed an increased number of students taking the HSK/YCT exams. In 2017, 543 students wrote HSK and 663 wrote YCT. In 2018, 597 students wrote HSK and 670 wrote YCT. In 2019, 704 students wrote HSK and 700 wrote YCT. We anticipate a continued increase of students taking the HSK/YCT exams next year.
