The CIE Received the Outstanding Contribution Award for Organizing Chinese Language Proficiency Test from 2007 to 2017

On December 12, the Confucius Institute in Edmonton received the Outstanding Contribution Award for Organizing Chinese Language Proficiency Test from 2007 to 2017 by Hanban/Headerquarter of Confucius Institutes at the 12th Confucius Institute Conference. Ms. Bridget Stirling, Vice Chair of Board of Trustees, represented Edmonton Public Schools and CIE to receive the award.

The 12th Confucius Institute Conference is held in Xi’an City of China from December 12-13. About 2500 delegates from more than 140 different countries attends the conference. Madam Liu Yandong, the Vice Premier of China, attended the opening ceremony and delivered the greeting. During her speech, she emphasized the topic of the conference “deepening cooperation, developing through innovation, working together to build a community of shared future for mankind.” The opening ceremony was chaired by Mr. Chen Baosheng, the Education Minister of China.
