In April and May, 2024, the CIE organized the HSK/YCT tests for school students. 1,948 students wrote the exams, including 1424 students from EPSB Mandarin bilingual program or Chinese language and culture program, and 524 students from Chinese (Mandarin) bilingual program in 5 CBE schools. This was the first time that so many Calgary public school students took the exams.
