The CIE has provided Chinese language and culture classes to the community for the last 7 years. Hundreds of people have attended the different language and culture classes, and many have become credentialed with the international standard (HSK) in Chinese language.
The CIE 2015 Winter Session started on September 28. Five different levels of Mandarin classes and a variety of Chinese culture classes are being offered including a new class in Chinese calligraphy as well as Tai Chi Fan, Chinese story telling and musical instruments such as Yang Qin, Er Hu and Guzheng.
The CIE Chinese language and culture classes are welcomed by the community. Many non-Chinese background students continue to register. Currently about 80 adult students are attending the different classes being offered during evenings and weekend.
In addition, the CIE also provides culture sessions business associations and other community organizations.
