On January 16th, the CIE was invited to provide culture support for the St. Albert and District Chamber of Commerce Chair’s Dinner at St Albert Inn. The CIE’s visiting teachers provided demonstrations of Chinese Dough Art, Chinese Knots and Calligraphy. The main purpose of this event was to provide an opportunity for local people to have some experience with the Chinese culture.
Many visitors were amazed by the beautiful design and skill of doing these Chinese traditional crafts. After showing them how to make it, the CIE teachers taught them to make Chinese knots and dough arts. All the visitors said they were interested in Chinese culture and would like to know more about it. This event was a great success and had received very positive responses from those who attended.
