On February 29th, 2016, Confucius Institute of Edmonton was invited to participate in the Chinese New Year celebration held by Chinese club of Concordia University. During the event, the staff and students had the opportunity to experience different Chinese traditional culture art and games prepared by CIE teachers, such as handkerchief dancing, Chinese pulling bells, Chinese dough art and knots. Some students and professors also participated in a knowledge contest about Chinese culture and China. Some prizes were awarded to those winners. Every participant had a great time to celebrate Chinese New Year.
