The CIE has provided Mandarin classes and Chinese culture classes to the public for the last 8 years. The 2017 fall session just started last Saturday.
The CIE offers different levels of Mandarin courses from Level 1 to Level 4 as well as the Mandarin class for Cantonese speakers. This year, the students enrolled in language classes reach a new record high of 70. For the first time, there are three classes for the Level 1.
The Chinese culture classes for this semester include Erhu, Guzheng, Chinese painting, Chinese calligraphy, Chinese dance, Tai Chi and Tai Chi fan.
The CIE Chinese language and culture classes are welcomed by the community and some of them have taken the various classes for many years and some learned Mandarin at CIE for more than 5 years, building a considerable capacity in Chinese language skill.
The CIE also offers the HSK language proficiency test for those students and some of them have passed HSK levels 1, 2 and 3.
