CIE was invited by Landing Trail Intermediate School at Athabasca to provide a Chinese culture session – Chinese Dough Art for their event “Flying High”. This is their annual cultural activity and CIE provided the support to them for the last 5 years.
On September 17, two CIE teachers, Blair Ren and Robert Kong, were participating in this activity showing students how to make some interesting dough figures like dog, tiger, panda, snake, goat, bunny and rose.
The students had a great time learning how to make the dough art with their creation and imagination as well as learning some knowledge about Chinese traditional art.
