The CIE was recently able to provide a two day retreat and training session for its 16 visiting teachers in Jasper. The 16 visiting teachers currently are deployed in 10 schools and with 6 assigned to work in the CIE.
In order to support the learning needs of the visiting teachers and to help them be successful in their various assignments, the CIE provides a monthly training session, which in addition to professional development, also allows a discussion of their roles and challenges.
Mr. Aaron Lewycky from Mountain Park Lodge gave a presentation on Jasper. All the visiting teachers were so happy to have this opportunity to experience the beauty of Rocky Mountains as most of them were the first time to see the Rockies. In turn the teachers provided ideas and suggestions as to how Jasper can be better marketed as a tourist destination in China.
