Annually for the past 4 years, the Confucius Institute in Edmonton has provided cultural support to Landing Trail Intermediate School, in Athabasca, Alberta. Students in that school are provided cultural workshops in Chinese dough art, paper cutting and Chinese knots. The CIE sent two teachers to Athabasca to share skills in Chinese art with more than 100 students.
Chinese dough art was the most popular session and the students and teachers really enjoyed making different animals by using different colour dough.
