The CIE was invited by Alberta Culture and Tourism to provide support in sharing Chinese traditional arts at Vitalize Provincial Voluntary Sector Conference at Shaw Conference Center. This conference was attended by more than 600 people from all over across Alberta.
CIE teachers displayed some Chinese art forms at the conference sharing Chinese culture with participants in the form of, Chinese calligraphy, Chinese knots and Chinese dough art.
Many conference participants, old and young, showed a great interest in the art forms and many chose to learn how to make them. All found the displays to be of great value, and served to promote the learning of Chinese language and culture throughout the province.
