On November 19, 30 administrators from 18 different Chinese universities visited the CIE to learn about the Edmonton Chinese bilingual program, as well as the work and operation of the CIE. They spent the whole morning at the CIE learning about its various functions and then visited one of our Chinese bilingual elementary schools in the afternoon. Different grades and programs were observed and they were amazed of the Chinese language abilities the students acquired in the program.
During the visit the guests asked many questions about the Confucius Institute and the Chinese program in Edmonton Public Schools. All the work and achievements at the CIE and in the EPSB Chinese bilingual program made a deep impression.
