On November 27, the Confucius Institute hosted a visit from the delegation with 30 people who are from more than 20 China universities. These people are attending a special training program in the University of Alberta. During the visit, the group toured the office, library, teachers’ office and other facilities, and attended a session presented by director Wei Li on CIE and Edmonton Chinese Bilingual Program.
After lunch, the delegation paid a visit Caernarvon School that is one of the six Chinese bilingual schools. The school principal, Mrs. Mclsaac, welcomed the delegates and provided the introduction about the school. The delegates had the opportunity to visit the classrooms observing the students learning Chinese and talked to some students and teachers.
The visit was short but the delegates learned a lot about Confucius Institute in Edmonton and the Chinese bilingual program. All the achievements of the students, the program and CIE left them great impression.
