On March 19, 2023, the 14th annual ECBEA awards ceremony was held at City Hall. 17 students from the EPSB Mandarin bilingual program received the CIE award. The CIE has sponsored the award for grade 6 and junior high students since 2009, encouraging students to continue learning Chinese language and Chinese culture. So far, more than 160 students have received the CIE award.
