On January 27, 2024, the CIE participated in the Lunar New Year celebrations at Londonderry Mall, organized by Edmonton Chinese Bilingual Education Association (ECBEA). The CIE teachers brought Chinese knots and paper cutting to the event, adding a joyous atmosphere to the traditional Chinese celebration. In the following weeks, the CIE will participate in more Chinese New Year celebrations, like Lunar New Year Extravaganza at West Edmonton Mall, and 2024 Lunar New Year of the Dragon Celebration at Kingsway Mall.
