New Children’s Books in CIE Library

The CIE purchased 635 Children’s books recently to enrich its children collection and provide the newest Chinese books to the young readers. The new books feature translated works from different cultures, like popular English picture books and comic books Pete the Cat, Peppa Pig, Elephant & Piggie, Dog Man, and Baby-Sisters Club, French books Hello Series, Apolline’s Big Days, and Apolline’s Little World, and Japanese picture books such as Camphor Tree Apartments, Little Brother Mouse Series, and Fukami Fantastic Imagination. The children’s books are for elementary school kids, but range from simple stories for preschoolers and kindergarteners, to complicated series with deeper meanings for older children. The CIE library owns approximately 15,000 children’s books, and provides free service for EPSB teachers, staff, and students.

The CIE also sponsored Mandarin Matrix resources to support the Confucius Classrooms.
